A Whistleblowing Policy to Cover Firearms in the Presidency:

Purpose: The purpose of this Whistleblowing Policy is to provide a safe and secure mechanism for employees of the Presidency to report any illegal, unethical, or improper activities related to firearms, including but not limited to, the procurement, storage, handling, and use of firearms, without fear of retaliation.

Scope: This policy applies to all employees of the Presidency, including permanent and contract staff, interns, and volunteers.

Definition of Whistleblowing: Whistleblowing is the disclosure of information by an employee to an appropriate authority, such as the President, the Chief of Staff, or the Head of Human Resources, about illegal, unethical, or improper activities related to firearms, including but not limited to:

Procedure for Reporting Whistleblowing:

  1. Anonymous Reporting: Employees may report suspected illegal, unethical, or improper activities related to firearms anonymously to the President, the Chief of Staff, or the Head of Human Resources.
  2. Confidential Reporting: Employees may report suspected illegal, unethical, or improper activities related to firearms confidentially to the President, the Chief of Staff, or the Head of Human Resources.
  3. Non-Anonymous Reporting: Employees may report suspected illegal, unethical, or improper activities related to firearms directly to the President, the Chief of Staff, or the Head of Human Resources.

Investigation and Resolution:

  1. Initial Review: The President, the Chief of Staff, or the Head of Human Resources will review the report and determine whether it warrants further investigation.
  2. Investigation: If the report is deemed worthy of investigation, a thorough investigation will be conducted by an independent investigator or a designated committee.
  3. Resolution: The investigation will be concluded, and a report will be prepared outlining the findings and recommendations for resolution.
  4. Action: The President, the Chief of Staff, or the Head of Human Resources will take appropriate action to address the reported illegal, unethical, or improper activities related to firearms.

Protection for Whistleblowers:
