TAG POLICE ARREST OKADA RIDERS FOR ROBBERY

Lagos, Nigeria - The Tag Police Division in Lagos has arrested three okada riders for allegedly robbing a motorist of his valuables at gunpoint.

According to eyewitnesses, the okada riders, who were identified as Abiodun Olamide, 25, Adeyemi Oluwasegun, 28, and Olamide Olatunji, 30, were seen operating in the area around 10pm on Tuesday night.

The motorist, who was not named, reported the incident to the police, saying that the okada riders had stopped him at a traffic light and demanded his valuables at gunpoint. The motorist handed over his phone, wallet, and other valuables to the okada riders, who then fled the scene.

The police recovered the stolen valuables from the okada riders and returned them to the motorist. The suspects are currently being held at the Tag Police Division and are expected to be charged to court soon.

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu, has commended the police officers involved in the arrest and urged the public to report any suspicious activities to the police.

"We will not tolerate any form of criminality in Lagos State, and we will continue to work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all citizens," CP Odumosu said.
