The South African rand (ZAR) is the official currency of South Africa. Here are the current denominations of South African rand banknotes:
Current denominations:
- R10 (10 rand)

New denominations (introduced in 2012):
- R5 (5 rand) - a new denomination introduced in 2012, featuring Nelson Mandela

Previous denominations (no longer in circulation):
- R2 (2 rand) - previously featured a portrait of Nelson Mandela, but was discontinued in 2005

Security features:
