New efcc chairman 2021

The new Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in 2021 is Abdulrasheed Bawa. He was appointed by President Muhammadu Buhari on February 16, 2021, and took over from Ibrahim Magu, who was suspended as EFCC Chairman in July 2020.

Abdulrasheed Bawa is a 40-year-old lawyer and a trained investigator with over 15 years of experience in law enforcement. He joined the EFCC in 2004 as a cadet officer and rose through the ranks to become the Head of the Intelligence Department.

Bawa has a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Abuja and a Master's degree in International Affairs and Diplomacy from the University of Abuja. He is also a member of the Nigerian Bar Association and the International Bar Association.

As the new EFCC Chairman, Bawa has promised to tackle corruption and financial crimes in the country, and to work closely with other law enforcement agencies to achieve this goal. He has also emphasized the need for the EFCC to be more proactive and responsive to the needs of the public, and to improve its communication and transparency.
