The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has announced the commencement of registration for private candidates for the 2023 May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
Here are the key details:
Registration Period: The registration period for private candidates is from Monday, March 6, 2023, to Friday, April 14, 2023.
Eligibility: Private candidates who have not been admitted to any institution of higher learning or have not been registered for the WASSCE by their schools are eligible to register.
Registration Fees: The registration fee for private candidates is N13,950 (Thirteen Thousand, Nine Hundred and Fifty Naira) only.
Registration Procedure: Candidates are required to register online through the WAEC website (www.waecdirect.org) and follow the registration procedure.
Requirements: Candidates are required to provide the following documents during registration:
- A recent passport-sized photograph
- A photocopy of the candidate's birth certificate or statutory declaration of age
- A photocopy of the candidate's identification (e.g., national ID card, driver's license, or international passport)
