Two suspects, Olamide Ogunleye and Adekunle Ogunleye, have been arraigned before a Magistrate Court in Osogbo, Osun State, for allegedly killing a pregnant woman, Mrs. Oluwaseun Adeniji.

The suspects, who are brothers, were arrested by the police after the victim's husband, Mr. Adeniji, reported the incident to the police.

According to the police prosecutor, Inspector Adekunle Adebiyi, the suspects allegedly attacked the victim, who was six months pregnant, at her residence in Osogbo on January 15, 2023.

The prosecutor alleged that the suspects, who were armed with cutlasses, attacked the victim and her husband, inflicting serious injuries on them. The victim later died at a hospital due to the injuries sustained.

The suspects were arraigned on a two-count charge of murder and attempted murder.

The prosecutor prayed the court to remand the suspects in prison custody pending the outcome of the investigation.

The Magistrate, Mrs. Olamide Ayilara, granted the prosecutor's prayer and ordered the suspects to be remanded in prison custody.

The case was adjourned till February 22, 2023, for further hearing.
