Suge Knight, the former CEO of Death Row Records, was involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident on January 29, 2015, in Compton, California. The accident occurred on the set of the film "Straight Outta Compton," which was a biopic about the rap group N.W.A.

According to reports, Knight was involved in an altercation with the film's director, F. Gary Gray, and the rapper Dr. Dre, who was also involved in the production of the film. Knight allegedly got into his truck and drove away, striking and killing two men, Terry Carter and Cle "Bone" Sloan, who were trying to intervene in the altercation.

Knight was arrested and charged with murder, and he has been in custody since the accident. In 2018, he pleaded no contest to voluntary manslaughter and was sentenced to 28 years in prison.
