Method 1: Check using the SASSA SRD Self-Service Portal
- Go to the SASSA SRD Self-Service Portal: www.srd.sassa.gov.za
- Click on "Check your application status"
- Enter your ID number and password (if you have one)
- Click on "Submit"
- Your application status will be displayed on the screen
Method 2: Check using the SASSA SRD WhatsApp Service
- Send a message to the SASSA SRD WhatsApp number: 0600 123 987
- Type "SRD STATUS" followed by your ID number (e.g. "SRD STATUS 0000000000000")
- Wait for a response from SASSA with your application status
Method 3: Check using the SASSA SRD Mobile App
- Download and install the SASSA SRD Mobile App from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store
- Launch the app and sign in with your ID number and password (if you have one)

What to expect:
