R kelly pleads not guilty to fresh charges

R. Kelly has pleaded not guilty to the latest charges filed against him in Chicago.

According to reports, Kelly was arraigned on Friday, May 3, 2019, on 11 new counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse, including charges of sexual assault and abuse of a minor.

Kelly's lawyer, Steve Greenberg, entered a not guilty plea on his behalf, and the singer was released on a $100,000 bond.

The new charges stem from allegations that Kelly sexually abused four women, including three minors, between 1998 and 2010. The alleged victims were between the ages of 13 and 16 at the time of the alleged abuse.

Kelly has been facing numerous allegations of sexual misconduct, including child pornography and sexual assault, since the release of the documentary "Surviving R. Kelly" in January 2019. He has denied all allegations of wrongdoing.

The singer's legal team has argued that the allegations against him are false and that the alleged victims are motivated by a desire for financial gain.

Kelly's next court appearance is scheduled for June 6, 2019.

It's worth noting that Kelly is already facing charges in Cook County, Illinois, related to allegations of sexual misconduct. He has pleaded not guilty to those charges as well.

The case against Kelly has sparked widespread outrage and calls for accountability, with many calling for the singer to be held accountable for his alleged actions.
