Psalm 92 good news bible
Here is Psalm 92 in the Good News Bible (GNB):
A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath Day
1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to the Most High. 2 It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp.
3 You have made known your ways to me, O God, and have given me a knowledge of your paths. 4 In the sanctuary you have made known to me the path of life, and you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand.
5 The wicked will not live out half their days, but those who fear you will see and live in your presence. 6 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; 7 planted in the Lord's house, they will flourish in the courts of our God. 8 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, 9 proclaiming, "The Lord is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
10 The wicked may try to defeat me, but I will not give in to them. They may plot evil against me, but I will trust in you, Lord. 11 You are my Rock, my Shield, my Savior, the one who gives me victory. 12 God, who is enthroned from of old, who never changes, he will keep me safe.
13 You have put your laws within my heart, and I have received your commands. 14 I have told you about your laws, and I have not forgotten them. 15 I have been in trouble, but the Lord has helped me. 16 The Lord has given me a new song, to sing to our God, to our Savior, and to the Rock of our salvation.
17 The Lord has given me a new song, to sing to our God, to our Savior, and to the Rock of our salvation.
This psalm is a beautiful expression of praise and thanksgiving to God, with a focus on the joy and blessing that comes from knowing and following God's ways. It also expresses confidence in God's protection and deliverance, and acknowledges God's unwavering goodness and faithfulness.
