Psalm 91 new king james
Here is Psalm 91 in the New King James Version (NKJV):
A Song of trust in God's protection
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. 2 I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, my strength and my deliverer; I will trust in Him; He is my banner.”
3 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree, And grow like a cedar in Lebanon. 4 Those who are planted in the house of the Lord Shall flourish in the courts of our God. 5 They shall still bear fruit in old age; They shall be fresh and flourishing, 6 To declare that the Lord is upright; He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
7 The righteous Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and He shall reward those who know His name. 8 The Lord is their strength, and He is the saving refuge of His anointed. 9 You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, 10 Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Nor of the destruction that lays waste at noon. 11 A thousand may fall at your side, And ten thousand at your right hand; But it shall not come near you.
12 Only with your eyes shall you look, And see the reward of the wicked. 13 Because you have made the Lord, who is my refuge, Even the Most High, your dwelling place, 14 No evil shall befall you, Nor shall any plague come near your dwelling; 15 For He shall give His angels charge over you, To keep you in all your ways. 16 In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you strike your foot against a stone. 17 You shall tread upon the lion and the cobra, The young lion and the serpent you shall trample underfoot.
18 Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore I will deliver him; I will set him on high, because he has known My name. 19 He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him. 20 With long life I will satisfy him, And show him My salvation.
