Psalm 59

A prayer for protection

  1. Save me, O God, from those who are always plotting against me. Protect me from those who are trying to hurt me.
  2. They keep saying, "God will never help him." But you, O God, are my strong protector.
  3. My God, you are my rock, my savior, my shield. My God, I put my trust in you.
  4. I will cry out to God, and the Lord will answer me. He will rescue me from those who are trying to hurt me.
  5. They have set a trap for me, but I will not fall into it. They have laid a trap, but I will not be caught.
  6. They have set a trap for me, but I will not fall into it. I will escape from their trap, for you, O God, are my protector.
  7. They have a trap set for me, but I will not fall into it. I will escape from their trap, for you, O God, are my protector.
