Psalm 107

Give Thanks to the Lord

  1. Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love lasts forever!
  2. Let the people of Israel say so, and let the people of Aaron say so, and let those who fear the Lord say so—
  3. "He has torn us from the power of our enemies; he has put an end to the wars around us;
  4. he has given us peace on our borders; he has filled our hearts with joy, and we have been glad."
  5. Then the people of Israel returned to their homes, and they went to their own towns and villages, and they began to rebuild and restore.
  6. They gave thanks to the Lord for his love, and they sang his praises.

The Lord Has Done Great Things

  1. He has led his people out of darkness and into the light; he has led them out of the shadow of death into life.
  2. He has lifted up the poor from the dust; he has lifted up the needy from the garbage dump.
  3. He has given them a place of honor; he has given them a seat of honor among the leaders.
  4. He has given them a place of honor in the land; he has given them a place of honor among the people.

The Lord Has Done Great Things

  1. He has given them rain from the heavens; he has given them showers to make the earth fertile.
  2. He has given them grass for their cattle; he has given them green pastures for their sheep.
  3. He has given them children to be their joy; he has given them grandchildren to be their pride.
  4. He has given them peace in their land; he has given them quiet and rest.

The Lord Has Done Great Things

  1. He has given them a new heart; he has given them a new spirit.
