New wine rest upon us
What a beautiful phrase! "New wine rest upon us" is a biblical reference to Matthew 9:17, where Jesus says, "Neither do men pour new wine into old wineskins, lest the new wine burst the skins, and both the wine be spilled, and the skins be destroyed. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved."
This phrase is often used to describe the idea of embracing change and new experiences, rather than trying to fit them into old, familiar patterns. It's a reminder that sometimes, we need to let go of the old and make room for the new, just like a wineskin needs to be replaced when it's worn out.
In a spiritual sense, "new wine" can represent the Holy Spirit, who brings new life, new hope, and new possibilities to our lives. When we invite the Holy Spirit into our lives, we're making room for His presence, just like a wineskin makes room for new wine.
What does this phrase mean to you? Is there something in your life that's calling for a fresh start or a new perspective?
