New spawn movie

You're referring to a new Spawn movie! There have been several attempts to bring Todd McFarlane's iconic character to the big screen over the years, but none have been successful... yet!

In 2019, it was announced that Blumhouse Productions and Todd McFarlane would be teaming up to produce a new Spawn movie, with McFarlane set to direct and Jamie Foxx attached to star as Al Simmons/Spawn. The film was initially scheduled for release in 2020, but due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the project was delayed.

In October 2020, it was reported that the movie was still in development, with McFarlane stating that he was working on the script and that the film would be a "dark, gritty, and intense" take on the character. There hasn't been any significant update since then, but fans are still holding out hope that the movie will eventually come to fruition.

It's worth noting that there have been several other attempts to adapt Spawn into a movie or TV series over the years, including a 1997 film starring Michael Jai White and a short-lived HBO series that aired from 1997 to 1999. However, none of these projects have been as highly anticipated as the current Blumhouse production.

What do you think about the prospect of a new Spawn movie? Are you excited to see Jamie Foxx bring the character to life on the big screen?
