New final fantasy movie
Exciting news! There have been rumors and announcements about a new Final Fantasy movie, and I'd be happy to share the latest updates with you!
Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001) was the first and only Final Fantasy movie produced by Square Pictures (now Square Enix). Although it received mixed reviews, it still has a dedicated fan base.
Recently, Square Enix announced a new animated Final Fantasy movie, titled Final Fantasy: Lost Stranger. It's a CGI film based on the light novel of the same name, written by Hiroshi Minamimoto, a veteran Final Fantasy game designer. The movie is set in the Final Fantasy VII universe and follows the story of Zack Fair, a character from the game.
Final Fantasy: Lost Stranger is currently in production, with a release date yet to be announced. The movie will be produced by Digimation, a Japanese animation studio, and will feature a mix of 3D computer-generated imagery (CGI) and traditional animation.
Additionally, there have been rumors about a live-action Final Fantasy movie, but no official announcements have been made. However, in 2020, it was reported that Sony Pictures and Square Enix were in talks to develop a live-action Final Fantasy film, with a script by John Gatins (Coach Carter, Real Steel).
While we wait for more information on these projects, fans of the series can look forward to other Final Fantasy-related content, such as the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake game, which is a remake of the classic 1997 game.
