New england region states
The New England region of the United States consists of six states:
- Maine: Known for its rugged coastline, mountains, and forests, Maine is the largest state in New England by land area.
- New Hampshire: A popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, New Hampshire is home to the White Mountains and Lake Winnipesaukee.
- Vermont: Famous for its maple syrup, fall foliage, and picturesque towns, Vermont is a popular tourist destination.
- Massachusetts: The most populous state in New England, Massachusetts is home to Boston, the capital city, as well as many other historic towns and cities.
- Rhode Island: The smallest state in the US, Rhode Island is known for its beautiful beaches, historic mansions, and vibrant arts scene.
- Connecticut: Located in the southwestern corner of New England, Connecticut is home to many historic towns and cities, including Hartford and New Haven.
These six states share a common cultural heritage and history, and are often referred to as the "New England states" or the "Northeastern states."
