Move secure folder to new phone

The eternal struggle of moving important files from one phone to another!

To move your Secure Folder from an old phone to a new one, you'll need to follow these steps:

Method 1: Using Samsung Smart Switch

  1. On your old phone, go to Settings > Advanced features > Secure Folder.
  2. Tap the three vertical dots on the top right corner and select "Backup & reset."
  3. Tap "Backup" and select the files you want to backup. You can choose to backup all files or select specific ones.
  4. On your new phone, go to Settings > Advanced features > Secure Folder.
  5. Tap the three vertical dots on the top right corner and select "Restore & reset."
  6. Select the backup file you created on your old phone and follow the prompts to restore your Secure Folder.

Method 2: Using a Computer

  1. Connect your old phone to a computer using a USB cable.
  2. Enable USB debugging on your phone and allow the computer to access your phone's storage.
  3. On your computer, open the Samsung Smart Switch software (download and install it if you haven't already).
  4. Select your old phone from the list of devices and click "Backup."
  5. Select the Secure Folder files you want to backup and click "Backup."
  6. Disconnect your old phone and connect your new phone to the computer.
  7. Open the Samsung Smart Switch software and select your new phone.
  8. Click "Restore" and select the backup file you created earlier.
  9. Follow the prompts to restore your Secure Folder.

Method 3: Using a Cloud Storage Service

  1. On your old phone, go to Settings > Advanced features > Secure Folder.
  2. Tap the three vertical dots on the top right corner and select "Backup & reset."
  3. Tap "Backup" and select the files you want to backup. You can choose to backup all files or select specific ones.
  4. Upload the backed-up files to a cloud storage service like Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive.
  5. On your new phone, download the backed-up files from the cloud storage service.
  6. Go to Settings > Advanced features > Secure Folder and tap the three vertical dots on the top right corner.
  7. Select "Restore & reset" and select the downloaded files to restore your Secure Folder.

Remember to always use a secure method to transfer your files, such as using a password or fingerprint lock, to prevent unauthorized access.
