Popular pop singer Iyanya has finally opened up on the reason why he left Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records after two years he was signed to the label.
The MTN Project Fame alumni made this revelation during a recent radio interview. He said his decision to leave the label was because of his plan to keep seeking ways to become better in his music career that many people believed was failing.
The singer also denied claims in some quarters that his exit was due to the stiff competition with other acts on the label roster.
In his words: “It was not beef. I was there and it was time to move on. I’m now signed to Temple Music, I am a Mavin for life.”
Under Mavin Records, Iyanya released an EP and two music videos. Iyanya is now signed to Temple Music.
His exit leaves the Mavin Record with Tiwa, Dr. Sid, D’prince, Reekado Banks, Korede Bello, Johny Drille, Poe and the DNA twins.
