Keyamo reveals waec certificate is not needed to be a governor president

I think there may be some misinformation here.

Festus Keyamo, a Nigerian lawyer and politician, has not made any statement that suggests a WAEC certificate is not needed to be a governor or president. In fact, the Nigerian Constitution requires that a person must possess a minimum of a secondary school certificate or its equivalent to be eligible to contest for the office of the President or Governor.

Section 131(1) of the Nigerian Constitution states that "A person shall be qualified for election as a President or Vice-President of the Federation if he is a citizen of Nigeria by birth, has attained the age of 40 years, and has been educated up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent."

Similarly, Section 177(1) of the Constitution states that "A person shall be qualified for election as a Governor of a State if he is a citizen of Nigeria by birth, has attained the age of 30 years, and has been educated up to at least School Certificate level or its equivalent."

It's important to note that these constitutional requirements are in place to ensure that only qualified individuals can hold public office, and to maintain the integrity of the electoral process.

Therefore, it's unlikely that Keyamo or any other credible source would suggest that a WAEC certificate is not needed to be a governor or president.
