How to insert a new row in excel

There are several ways to insert a new row in Excel:

Method 1: Using the "Insert" button

  1. Select the row above where you want to insert the new row.
  2. Click on the "Insert" button in the "Home" tab of the ribbon.
  3. Click on "Insert Sheet Rows" or "Insert Row" from the dropdown menu.
  4. The new row will be inserted above the selected row.

Method 2: Using the keyboard shortcut

  1. Select the row above where you want to insert the new row.
  2. Press "Ctrl + Shift + +" (plus sign) on your keyboard.
  3. The new row will be inserted above the selected row.

Method 3: Using the "Insert" menu

  1. Select the row above where you want to insert the new row.
  2. Go to the "Insert" menu in the top menu bar.
  3. Click on "Insert Sheet Rows" or "Insert Row" from the dropdown menu.
  4. The new row will be inserted above the selected row.

Method 4: Using the "Right-click" menu

  1. Select the row above where you want to insert the new row.
  2. Right-click on the row number.
  3. Click on "Insert" from the context menu.

Note: You can also insert multiple rows at once by selecting the range of rows you want to insert and then using one of the above methods.
