How to insert a new row in excel
There are several ways to insert a new row in Excel:
Method 1: Using the "Insert" button
- Select the row above where you want to insert the new row.
- Click on the "Insert" button in the "Home" tab of the ribbon.
- Click on "Insert Sheet Rows" or "Insert Row" from the dropdown menu.
- The new row will be inserted above the selected row.
Method 2: Using the keyboard shortcut
- Select the row above where you want to insert the new row.
- Press "Ctrl + Shift + +" (plus sign) on your keyboard.
- The new row will be inserted above the selected row.
Method 3: Using the "Insert" menu
- Select the row above where you want to insert the new row.
- Go to the "Insert" menu in the top menu bar.
- Click on "Insert Sheet Rows" or "Insert Row" from the dropdown menu.
- The new row will be inserted above the selected row.
Method 4: Using the "Right-click" menu
- Select the row above where you want to insert the new row.
- Right-click on the row number.
- Click on "Insert" from the context menu.
- Click on "Insert Sheet Rows" or "Insert Row" from the dropdown menu.
- The new row will be inserted above the selected row.
Note: You can also insert multiple rows at once by selecting the range of rows you want to insert and then using one of the above methods.
