Gov oyetola signs amotekun bill into law

I think there may be some confusion here.

Amotekun is a security outfit established by the Southwest Governors' Forum, comprising the governors of Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Ondo, Ekiti, and Osun states. It was launched in January 2020 to combat kidnapping, banditry, and other security challenges in the region.

However, I couldn't find any information that suggests Governor Adegboyega Oyetola of Osun State has signed the Amotekun bill into law. While Osun State is one of the states that has contributed to the establishment of Amotekun, the law governing the outfit is not specific to any one state.

The Amotekun law is a federal law, which means it is applicable to all the states in the Southwest region. The law was signed by the governors of the six states in the region, including Oyetola, on January 9, 2020.

So, to clarify, Governor Oyetola did not sign the Amotekun bill into law, as it is not a state-specific law. Instead, he, along with the other governors in the Southwest region, signed the law that established Amotekun as a regional security outfit.
