  • Security thread with the image of the national flag

N1,000 Note:

• Color: Blue
• Size: 146 mm x 68 mm
• Security features:
  • See-through window with the image of the national bird (the eagle)
  • Micro-etched image of the national monument (the National Assembly building)
  • Raised print of the number 1,000
  • Watermark with the image of the national flag
  • Security thread with the image of the national flag
  • Unique serial number

These new notes are designed to be more secure and difficult to counterfeit. The CBN has also introduced a new cashless policy, encouraging the use of digital payment methods to reduce the circulation of cash.

It's worth noting that the old naira notes are still valid for a limited time, but it's recommended to exchange them for the new notes as soon as possible to avoid any inconvenience.
