Express entry news update
Here are some recent updates and news related to Express Entry, a program managed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC):
Recent Draws:
- Express Entry Draw #234: Held on March 16, 2023, with a minimum CRS score of 734.
- Express Entry Draw #233: Held on March 9, 2023, with a minimum CRS score of 734.
- Express Entry Draw #232: Held on February 23, 2023, with a minimum CRS score of 734.
Changes to the Express Entry Program:
- In November 2022, IRCC introduced a new "Comprehensive Ranking System" (CRS) that gives more weight to language proficiency and education.
- In October 2022, IRCC announced that it would be increasing the number of invitations issued in Express Entry draws to 46,000 in 2023.
New Immigration Targets:
- In November 2022, the Canadian government announced its new immigration targets for 2023-2025, which include:
- 465,000 new permanent residents in 2023
- 487,000 new permanent residents in 2024
- 521,000 new permanent residents in 2025
Express Entry Categories:
