Creating a new artboard in photoshop
To create a new artboard in Photoshop, follow these steps:
Method 1: Using the "File" Menu
- Open Photoshop and go to the "File" menu at the top of the screen.
- Click on "New" to open the "New Document" dialog box.
- In the "New Document" dialog box, select "Artboard" from the "Document Type" dropdown menu.
- Enter the desired dimensions for your artboard in the "Width" and "Height" fields.
- Choose a color for the artboard background by clicking on the "Background Contents" dropdown menu and selecting a color or leaving it set to "Transparent".
- Click "Create" to create the new artboard.
Method 2: Using the "Artboard" Panel
- Open Photoshop and go to the "Window" menu at the top of the screen.
- Click on "Artboard" to open the "Artboard" panel.
- Click on the "New Artboard" button at the bottom of the panel.
- Enter the desired dimensions for your artboard in the "Width" and "Height" fields.
- Choose a color for the artboard background by clicking on the "Background Contents" dropdown menu and selecting a color or leaving it set to "Transparent".
- Click "Create" to create the new artboard.
Method 3: Using the "Ctrl+N" Shortcut
- Open Photoshop and press "Ctrl+N" (Windows) or "Command+N" (Mac) on your keyboard.
- The "New Document" dialog box will open, and you can select "Artboard" as the document type.
- Enter the desired dimensions for your artboard in the "Width" and "Height" fields.
- Choose a color for the artboard background by clicking on the "Background Contents" dropdown menu and selecting a color or leaving it set to "Transparent".
- Click "Create" to create the new artboard.
