A Message from Our Pastor

Dear Beloved Church Family,

As we continue to strive for spiritual growth and maturity, I am compelled to address a matter that has been weighing heavily on my heart. As your pastor, it is my duty to guide and shepherd you in your walk with God, and I believe it is essential to address the issue of gambling among our church members.

After much prayer and consideration, I have made the decision to ban all forms of gambling among our church members. This decision was not taken lightly, and I understand that it may cause some discomfort or even controversy among some of you. However, I firmly believe that this is a necessary step to maintain the spiritual integrity and purity of our church.

The Bible is clear in its condemnation of gambling. Proverbs 28:20 states, "A faithful man will be richly blessed, but one eager to get rich will not go unpunished." Additionally, 1 Timothy 6:10 reminds us that "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." Gambling is a form of idolatry, where we place our trust and hope in chance and luck rather than in God's sovereignty and provision.

Furthermore, gambling can lead to financial struggles, broken relationships, and a sense of desperation. It can also create an environment of temptation and compromise, which can undermine our witness as Christians and our ability to effectively share the Gospel with others.

As your pastor, I am committed to providing a safe and supportive environment for all of you to grow in your faith. I believe that by banning gambling among our church members, we can create a culture of integrity, accountability, and spiritual growth.

I understand that this decision may require some adjustments on your part, and I want to assure you that I am committed to supporting and guiding you through this process. If you are struggling with a gambling addiction or know someone who is, please do not hesitate to reach out to me or our church's counseling team for support.

In conclusion, I want to emphasize that this decision is not intended to judge or condemn anyone, but rather to provide a clear and consistent standard for our church community. I believe that by working together, we can build a stronger, more faithful church that is committed to honoring God and serving others.

May God bless and guide us as we navigate this new chapter in our church's journey.
