Bpcl new petrochemicals

BPCL (Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited) is a leading Indian oil and gas company that has been expanding its presence in the petrochemicals sector in recent years. Here are some of the new petrochemicals projects and initiatives undertaken by BPCL:

  1. Purbandar Petrochemical Complex: BPCL has set up a new petrochemical complex at Purbandar, Gujarat, which is expected to produce a range of petrochemicals such as polypropylene, polyethylene, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The complex has a capacity of 1.2 million tonnes per annum (MTPA).
  2. Nagothane Petrochemical Complex: BPCL has also set up a new petrochemical complex at Nagothane, Maharashtra, which produces a range of petrochemicals such as polypropylene, polyethylene, and polyvinyl chloride (PVC). The complex has a capacity of 1.1 MTPA.
  3. Polypropylene Expansion: BPCL has expanded its polypropylene production capacity at its Kochi refinery in Kerala from 200,000 tonnes per annum (TPA) to 400,000 TPA.
  4. Polyethylene Expansion: BPCL has also expanded its polyethylene production capacity at its Mumbai refinery in Maharashtra from 150,000 TPA to 300,000 TPA.
  5. PVC Expansion: BPCL has expanded its PVC production capacity at its Mumbai refinery in Maharashtra from 100,000 TPA to 200,000 TPA.
  6. Ethylene Glycol (EG) Plant: BPCL has set up a new EG plant at its Kochi refinery in Kerala, which has a capacity of 200,000 TPA.
  7. Propylene Oxide (PO) Plant: BPCL has set up a new PO plant at its Mumbai refinery in Maharashtra, which has a capacity of 100,000 TPA.
  8. Benzene-Toluene-Xylene (BTX) Plant: BPCL has set up a new BTX plant at its Mumbai refinery in Maharashtra, which has a capacity of 100,000 TPA.
  9. Petrochemicals Terminal: BPCL has set up a new petrochemicals terminal at its Kochi refinery in Kerala, which has a capacity of 1.5 MTPA.
  10. Strategic Partnerships: BPCL has entered into strategic partnerships with other companies to expand its petrochemicals business, including a partnership with Saudi Aramco to set up a new petrochemicals complex in India.

These new petrochemicals projects and initiatives are expected to enhance BPCL's presence in the Indian petrochemicals market and increase its competitiveness in the global market.
