As of my knowledge cutoff, Barnsley's new manager is Michael Beale. He was appointed as the head coach of the club on November 14, 2022, replacing Markus Schopp.

Michael Beale is a former professional footballer who played as a midfielder for clubs like Tottenham Hotspur, Queens Park Rangers, and Brentford. He also had a brief stint as an assistant manager at Rangers in Scotland.

Beale's appointment at Barnsley comes after a successful spell as the assistant manager at QPR, where he worked under Mark Warburton. He has been tasked with stabilizing the team and guiding them towards a push for promotion back to the Premier League.
