FC Barcelona has indeed signed a new sponsor deal with a leading brand. According to reports, the club has partnered with Rakuten, a Japanese e-commerce company, in a deal worth €55 million per year for the next four years.
The agreement, which was announced on June 13, 2017, sees Rakuten become the club's main global partner, replacing Qatar Foundation, which had been the club's main sponsor since 2010. The deal is reportedly the largest in the club's history, surpassing the previous deal with Qatar Foundation.
