As new born babies focus on the word of god

What a beautiful and thought-provoking question!

While newborn babies don't have the cognitive ability to focus on the word of God in the classical sense, I'd like to offer some insights on this topic.

From a biblical perspective, Psalm 139:13-16 says, "For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well. My frame was not hidden from you, when I was being made in secret, intricately woven in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed substance; in your book were written, every one of them, the days that were formed for me, when as yet there were none of them."

This passage highlights God's sovereignty and involvement in the creation of every human being, including newborn babies. While they may not be able to consciously focus on the word of God, they are already being shaped and formed by God's hand.

In a more practical sense, newborn babies are wired to respond to their environment and the people around them. They are naturally drawn to the sound of their mother's voice, the warmth of her touch, and the comfort of her presence. In this sense, they are already "focusing" on the world around them, even if it's not in a conscious or cognitive way.

As they grow and develop, babies begin to recognize and respond to the sounds, sights, and rhythms of the world around them. They start to learn about the world through their senses, and their brains begin to process and make sense of this information.

In this sense, while newborn babies may not be able to focus on the word of God in the classical sense, they are already being shaped and formed by their environment and the people around them. And as they grow and develop, they can begin to learn about God and His word through the people and experiences around them.

Ultimately, the focus of a newborn baby is on the world around them, and as they grow and develop, they can begin to focus on the word of God and His love for them.
