Andela to hire 1000 software developers after getting 100m funding

Andela, a company that connects top tech talent with companies around the world, has announced that it will be hiring 1000 software developers after securing $100 million in funding.

Andela, which was founded in 2014, has already established itself as a leading platform for remote software development, with a network of over 2,000 developers in Africa and Eastern Europe. The company's platform allows companies to hire and manage remote developers, providing them with access to a global talent pool.

The $100 million funding round, which was led by Generation Investment Management, will be used to expand Andela's operations and hire more developers. The company plans to use the funding to grow its team in Africa and Eastern Europe, as well as to expand its presence in the United States and other parts of the world.

"We're thrilled to have secured this funding, which will enable us to scale our operations and continue to provide top-notch talent to companies around the world," said Jeremy Johnson, CEO of Andela. "We believe that remote work is the future of work, and we're excited to be at the forefront of this trend."

Andela's platform has already been used by a number of major companies, including Microsoft, IBM, and Pluralsight. The company's developers work on a variety of projects, including software development, data science, and artificial intelligence.

The funding round brings Andela's total funding to over $200 million, and the company is now valued at over $1.5 billion.
