AKWA IBOM APC CONDEMNS SUPREME COURT JUDGMENT

Uyo, Akwa Ibom State - The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom State has condemned the recent judgment of the Supreme Court which upheld the election of Governor Udom Emmanuel of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of the 2019 governorship election in the state.

In a statement issued by the State Chairman of the APC, Mr. Ita Udosen, the party described the judgment as "a miscarriage of justice" and a "clear case of judicial rascality".

The party alleged that the Supreme Court judgment was a result of "a grand conspiracy" between the judiciary and the PDP to deny the APC its rightful victory in the election.

"We are shocked and disappointed by the judgment, which we believe is a travesty of justice," the statement said. "The APC had presented a strong case before the Supreme Court, but the judges chose to ignore the evidence and the law in their haste to deliver a verdict that would please the PDP."

The party also accused the PDP of using "every trick in the book" to rig the election and subvert the will of the people, and said that the Supreme Court judgment was a validation of these underhand tactics.

"We will not accept this judgment and will continue to fight for justice and the rights of our members who were robbed of their victory," the statement said. "We call on all APC members and supporters to remain calm and peaceful, but to also be prepared to defend their rights and the integrity of the electoral process."

The party also called on the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole, to take immediate action to address the situation and ensure that justice is served.

"We urge the National Chairman to take immediate action to address this injustice and to ensure that the APC's rights are protected," the statement said. "We will not be silenced or intimidated by this judgment, and we will continue to fight for what is right and just."
