2019 inec visits party offices to ascertain real political parties
I think there may be some confusion here.
INEC (Independent National Electoral Commission) is the electoral body responsible for conducting elections in Nigeria. In 2019, INEC did not visit party offices to ascertain real political parties.
However, INEC did conduct a series of activities to ensure the credibility of the 2019 general elections, including:
- Registration of political parties: INEC registered 91 political parties in 2018, which was a significant increase from the 46 parties registered in 2015.
- Verification of party documents: INEC verified the documents of all registered political parties to ensure compliance with the Electoral Act and the Commission's guidelines.
- Conduct of primaries: INEC monitored the conduct of primaries by political parties to ensure that they were free, fair, and transparent.
- Accreditation of political parties: INEC accredited 73 political parties to participate in the 2019 general elections, which was a significant reduction from the 91 parties registered earlier.
It's worth noting that INEC's primary responsibility is to conduct free, fair, and credible elections, and the Commission takes various steps to ensure the integrity of the electoral process. However, I couldn't find any evidence of INEC visiting party offices to ascertain real political parties in 2019 or any other year.
