2 corinthians 12 1 4 good news
A great choice!
Here are 2 Corinthians 12:1-4, also known as the "Thorn in the Flesh" passage:
"It is necessary to boast; nothing comes from faith alone, so we come to rely not on our own strength but on God's might. He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong." (NIV)
This passage is a powerful reminder that our strength and power come from God, not from ourselves. Paul is saying that his weaknesses and struggles (the "thorn in the flesh" he mentions in verse 7) are actually opportunities for God's power to be displayed in his life. He's not ashamed to boast about his weaknesses, because he knows that's where God's strength is most evident.
What a wonderful message of hope and encouragement!
