Youth corper narrates ordeal one chance robbers

I'm still shaking as I recount the terrifying experience I had with one chance robbers during my NYSC program. It was a typical evening, and I had just finished my duty post at the local government office where I was serving. I was walking back to my lodge, lost in thought, when suddenly, I was surrounded by a group of men on motorcycles.

At first, I thought they were just ordinary motorcyclists, but as they approached me, I noticed they were all wearing masks and had a menacing look in their eyes. One of them, who seemed to be the leader, jumped off his bike and approached me.

"Give us all your money and valuables," he growled, his voice low and menacing. I was frozen in fear, unable to move or speak. The other robbers surrounded me, their eyes gleaming with greed.

I tried to reason with them, telling them I didn't have much money on me, but they just laughed and told me to hand over my phone, wallet, and any other valuables I had. I was terrified, thinking about the consequences if I didn't comply.

One of them grabbed my phone and started searching through it, while another one rummaged through my pockets. I was helpless, feeling like I was at their mercy. They took everything, including my national ID card, and left me with nothing.

As they rode off, I was left standing there, shaken and traumatized. I couldn't believe what had just happened. I had heard stories about one chance robbers, but I never thought I would be a victim.

I walked back to my lodge, feeling vulnerable and scared. I didn't know what to do or who to turn to. I just wanted to be safe and secure. I reported the incident to the police, but I knew it was a long shot. The robbers had taken everything, including my ID card, and I had no way of identifying them.

The experience left me feeling shaken and traumatized. I had always been careful, but I realized that even with caution, one can still fall victim to crime. I'm just grateful that I was not physically harmed, but the emotional scars will take a long time to heal.

As I reflect on the incident, I realize that it's a harsh reminder of the reality of life. We can't always be prepared for the unexpected, and sometimes, we just have to rely on luck and circumstance to get us through. I hope that my story will serve as a warning to others, and that we can all learn to be more vigilant and prepared for the unexpected.
