Job Summary:
The Department of Higher Education and Training is seeking to appoint five (5) Human Resource Clerks Generalists to provide administrative support to the Human Resources Division. The successful candidates will be responsible for performing a range of human resource functions, including recruitment, personnel administration, benefits administration, and employee relations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Human Resources Division, including preparing and processing personnel documents, maintaining personnel records, and performing other related tasks.
- Assist with recruitment and selection processes, including advertising vacancies, screening applications, and conducting interviews.
- Perform personnel administration tasks, including maintaining employee records, processing leave, and conducting salary administration.
- Assist with benefits administration, including processing benefits claims, maintaining benefits records, and providing information to employees.
- Provide employee relations support, including resolving employee queries, conducting investigations, and providing guidance on employment-related matters.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Perform other related tasks as required.
Requirements:
- A National Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or a related field.
- At least one (1) year of experience in a human resources environment, preferably in a government department or a similar organization.
- Knowledge of human resources principles, practices, and procedures.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
Remuneration:
The successful candidates will be appointed on a permanent basis and will receive a salary commensurate with their qualifications and experience.
