Job Summary:
The Department of Higher Education and Training is seeking to appoint three (3) Driver Messengers to provide support services to the department. The successful candidates will be responsible for driving official vehicles, transporting documents and personnel, and performing other related duties.
Requirements:
- A valid driver's license (Code 08 or Code B)
- A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of traffic rules and regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Responsibilities:
- Drive official vehicles safely and efficiently
- Transport documents and personnel as required
- Perform other related duties as required
- Maintain a clean and tidy vehicle
- Report any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements to the supervisor
- Ensure that all official documents are delivered on time and in good condition
Remuneration:
The remuneration package will be in accordance with the Department's salary scale.
