Who is the new igp
As of my knowledge cutoff in 2022, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) in Nigeria is Usman Alkali Baba. He was appointed as the 21st Inspector-General of Police on April 6, 2021, by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Prior to his appointment as IGP, Baba was the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the Force Criminal Investigations Department (FCID). He has served in various capacities within the Nigeria Police Force, including as the Commissioner of Police in several states, including Kebbi, Yobe, and Gombe.
As IGP, Baba has been tasked with addressing various security challenges facing the country, including banditry, kidnapping, and armed robbery. He has also been working to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the Nigeria Police Force, including through the implementation of new technologies and strategies.
Please note that the information may have changed since my knowledge cutoff, and I would recommend verifying the information with a reliable source for the most up-to-date information.
