Westlife back for good after six year split
I think there may be some confusion here!
Westlife, the Irish boyband, did not actually split up for six years. In fact, the group went on hiatus in 2012, but they reunited in 2018 and have been active again since then.
The original lineup of Westlife, consisting of Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne, and Brian McFadden, disbanded in 2012 after releasing their greatest hits album "Greatest Hits" and embarking on a farewell tour.
However, in 2018, the remaining four members of the group (Shane, Mark, Kian, and Nicky) announced that they would be reuniting and releasing new music. They have since released several new singles and an album, "Spectrum", in 2019.
So, to clarify, Westlife did not have a six-year split, but rather a hiatus that lasted from 2012 to 2018, followed by their reunion and continued activity since then.
