Affected Areas: The following provinces are under a Veld Fire Danger warning:
- Gauteng: The entire province, including Johannesburg, Pretoria, and surrounding areas.
- Mpumalanga: The eastern parts of the province, including Nelspruit, Mbombela, and surrounding areas.
- Limpopo: The western parts of the province, including Polokwane, Mokopane, and surrounding areas.
- North West: The western parts of the province, including Rustenburg, Mafikeng, and surrounding areas.
Reason: Hot and dry conditions, with temperatures expected to reach 35°C to 40°C (95°F to 104°F) during the day, and strong winds of 30 to 50 km/h (19 to 31 mph) expected.
