Vote defaulting governors nlc tells workers
The National Labour Congress (NLC) has called on workers to reject governors who default on their financial obligations to workers and the public.
The NLC made this call in a statement issued on Tuesday, following the recent default by some governors on their financial obligations to workers and the public.
The statement, signed by the NLC President, Ayuba Wabba, said that the default by the governors was a clear indication of their lack of respect for the rule of law and the welfare of workers.
"We urge workers to reject governors who default on their financial obligations to workers and the public. We cannot continue to tolerate a situation where governors who are supposed to be responsible for the welfare of workers and the public are instead defaulting on their financial obligations," the statement said.
The NLC also called on the federal government to take immediate action to address the issue of default by governors on their financial obligations to workers and the public.
