Van dijk alisson the only untouchables at liverpool everyone else including henderson is replaceable says mcateer
A bold statement from former Liverpool player and pundit, Steve McManaman!
It's true that Virgil van Dijk and Alisson Becker have been instrumental in Liverpool's success in recent years, and many would argue that they are the team's most valuable players. Van Dijk's leadership and defensive prowess have been crucial in transforming Liverpool's defense, while Alisson's shot-stopping and distribution have been exceptional.
However, it's debatable whether everyone else at Liverpool, including Jordan Henderson, is replaceable. Henderson, in particular, has been a key player for the Reds, serving as captain and providing energy and drive in midfield. He's also developed into a more attacking threat over the years, scoring important goals and providing assists.
Other players like Sadio Mané, Mohamed Salah, and Roberto Firmino have also been instrumental in Liverpool's success, and it's difficult to imagine the team without them. Mané's pace and goal-scoring ability, Salah's clinical finishing, and Firmino's pressing and link-up play have all been crucial in Liverpool's attacking success.
Of course, every team needs to evolve and adapt, and it's possible that Liverpool may look to bring in new players to strengthen certain areas of the squad. But to say that everyone else, including Henderson, is replaceable might be a bit harsh.
What do you think, do you agree with McManaman's assessment, or do you think other players at Liverpool are more valuable than he suggests?
