Uefa denies members have asked to postpone euro 2020
According to recent reports, UEFA has denied claims that any of its member associations have requested to postpone the upcoming Euro 2020 tournament.
The denial comes after several European football leagues and clubs have expressed concerns about the feasibility of hosting the tournament amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Some have even suggested that the tournament could be postponed or even cancelled.
However, UEFA has maintained that the tournament will go ahead as scheduled, with the organization stating that it has a robust plan in place to ensure the safety and security of all participants and spectators.
In a statement, UEFA said: "UEFA has not received any requests from its member associations to postpone the European Championship. The tournament will take place as scheduled from June 11 to July 11, 2021."
It remains to be seen how the situation will unfold, but for now, it appears that UEFA is committed to hosting the tournament as planned.
