Third Coronavirus Case Confirmed in Lagos, Nigeria
Lagos, Nigeria - The Lagos State Government has confirmed a third case of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) in the state. This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to three.
According to a statement released by the Lagos State Ministry of Health, the new case is a 35-year-old male who recently traveled to Italy. He is currently receiving treatment at a designated isolation center in the state.
The patient, who is a Nigerian citizen, had been in Italy for business purposes and returned to Nigeria on March 4. He began showing symptoms of the virus on March 10 and was immediately isolated and taken to a hospital for treatment.
The Lagos State Government has assured the public that it is taking all necessary measures to contain the spread of the virus, including contact tracing and testing of all individuals who may have come into contact with the patient.
The government has also urged the public to remain calm and to follow all guidelines and protocols put in place to prevent the spread of the virus.

- Cover their mouth and nose with a tissue or their elbow when coughing or sneezing
