The weeknd loses voice in middle of sofi stadium show cancels apologizes to fans watch

What a bummer!

According to reports, The Weeknd was forced to cancel his concert at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California on Saturday night (September 17) due to losing his voice.

The R&B superstar took to social media to apologize to his fans, saying: "I'm heartbroken to announce that I will not be able to perform tonight's show at SoFi Stadium. I'm so sorry to disappoint my fans, but I'm dealing with some unexpected vocal issues that will not allow me to perform tonight."

He continued: "I'm truly sorry to anyone who was looking forward to tonight's show. I'm going to do everything I can to make it up to you and get back to performing as soon as possible."

The Weeknd's team announced that the show would be rescheduled for a later date, but no new date has been announced yet.

Fans were understandably disappointed, but many also expressed their understanding and support for The Weeknd's decision to prioritize his health.

This isn't the first time The Weeknd has had to cancel a show due to vocal issues. In 2020, he was forced to cancel several dates on his "After Hours" tour due to a similar problem.

Here's hoping The Weeknd gets the rest and treatment he needs to get his voice back in top shape, and that he can get back to performing for his fans soon!
