- N200: The new N200 note features a portrait of Muhammadu Buhari, the current President of Nigeria.
- N500: The new N500 note features a portrait of Dr. Olufunmilayo Ransome-Kuti, a Nigerian educationist and women's rights activist.
- N1000: The new N1000 note features a portrait of Alhaji Maimuna Shagari, the wife of former President Shehu Shagari.
Enhanced Security Features:
- Watermark: A transparent image of the portrait is embedded in the paper to prevent counterfeiting.
- Security Thread: A thin strip of material embedded in the paper that glows pink when held under UV light.
- Hologram: A 3D image that appears when the note is tilted.
- Microprinting: Tiny text that is difficult to reproduce.
- Raised Printing: Tactile features that can be felt by the fingertips.
Other Changes:
- Color Scheme: The new notes feature a more vibrant color scheme to make them easier to distinguish.
- Font Style: The font used for the denominations has been changed to a more modern and legible style.
- Security Features: The new notes have additional security features to prevent counterfeiting and improve their durability.
