Tanzania somalia confirm first case of covid 19
According to reports, Tanzania and Somalia have both confirmed their first cases of COVID-19.
Tanzania: On March 16, 2020, Tanzania confirmed its first case of COVID-19, a 46-year-old Tanzanian national who had recently traveled to the United States. The patient was admitted to a hospital in Dar es Salaam, the country's largest city, and was in stable condition.
Somalia: On March 16, 2020, Somalia also confirmed its first case of COVID-19, a 37-year-old Somali national who had recently traveled to the United Arab Emirates. The patient was admitted to a hospital in Mogadishu, the capital city, and was in stable condition.
Both countries have since taken measures to contain the spread of the virus, including restricting travel, increasing testing, and enhancing public health measures such as hand hygiene and social distancing.
It's worth noting that both Tanzania and Somalia have relatively limited healthcare infrastructure and resources, which can make it challenging to respond to outbreaks like COVID-19. International organizations and donors have been providing support to both countries to help them respond to the pandemic.
