Here are the steps to obtain a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) exemption certificate:

Eligibility:

To be eligible for exemption, you must meet one of the following criteria:

  1. You are a foreign-trained graduate who has not spent more than 1 year in Nigeria.
  2. You are a graduate of a foreign institution that is recognized by the Nigerian government.
  3. You are a graduate of a Nigerian institution that is exempted from NYSC by the Federal Government.
  4. You are a graduate who has been exempted by the NYSC Director-General.

Application Process:

To apply for an NYSC exemption certificate, follow these steps:

  1. Obtain a letter of exemption: If you are eligible for exemption, you will need to obtain a letter of exemption from the relevant authority, such as the Nigerian Embassy or High Commission in your country of residence, or the NYSC Director-General.
  2. Fill out the application form: Download and complete the NYSC exemption application form (Form E) from the NYSC website or obtain it from the NYSC Secretariat.
  3. Attach required documents: Attach the following documents to the application form:
    • A copy of your letter of exemption
    • A copy of your academic certificate (Bachelor's degree or higher)
