Tag jibrin drags house of representatives leadership to court

It appears that Abdulmumin Jibrin, a former member of the House of Representatives, has taken legal action against the leadership of the House of Representatives.

According to reports, Jibrin has dragged the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, and other top officials of the House to court over alleged corruption and abuse of office.

Jibrin, who was a member of the House of Representatives from 2007 to 2019, has accused the leadership of the House of embezzling funds meant for the National Assembly and engaging in other corrupt practices.

In a suit filed at the Federal High Court in Abuja, Jibrin is seeking an order of the court to compel the respondents to account for the alleged misappropriation of funds and to recover the stolen funds.

The respondents in the suit include the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Deputy Speaker, Ahmed Wase, and the Clerk of the House, Mohammed Sani-Omolori.

Jibrin has also accused the leadership of the House of attempting to cover up the alleged corruption and has called for an investigation into the matter.

It is not clear at this time what specific allegations Jibrin has made against the leadership of the House of Representatives or what evidence he has to support his claims.

However, this development is likely to spark a lot of interest and controversy in the political circles, especially given the high-profile nature of the respondents.

It will be interesting to see how this case unfolds and what the outcome will be.
