Tag interview

Here's a sample interview with a "tag" format:

Interviewer: Hi, can you start by telling me a little bit about yourself?

Candidate: Sure thing! I'm [Name], and I've been working in the industry for about 5 years now. I've had a variety of roles, from [previous role] to [previous role], and I'm excited to be here today to talk about this new opportunity.

Interviewer: Great, thanks for sharing that. Can you tell me about a time when you had to overcome a difficult challenge in your previous role?

Candidate: Ah, yes! In my previous role, I was tasked with leading a team to launch a new product. We were working on a tight deadline, and there were a lot of moving parts. I had to work closely with the development team, marketing team, and sales team to make sure everything came together on time. It was a lot of pressure, but we were able to launch the product successfully and it ended up being a huge hit.

Interviewer: Wow, that sounds like a really tough project! How did you handle the stress and pressure of that role?

Candidate: Honestly, I think my ability to prioritize and stay organized really helped me manage my stress levels. I also made sure to communicate regularly with my team and stakeholders to keep everyone informed and on the same page. And, of course, I made sure to take breaks and practice self-care when I needed to!

Interviewer: That's great advice. Can you tell me about a project you're particularly proud of?

Candidate: Oh, definitely! In my previous role, I worked on a project to develop a new training program for our sales team. I was responsible for designing the curriculum, creating the materials, and delivering the training sessions. It was a lot of work, but the feedback from the team was amazing, and we saw a significant increase in sales performance after the training.

Interviewer: That sounds like a really valuable project. Can you tell me why you're interested in this role and what you think you can bring to the team?

Candidate: I'm really excited about this role because I think it's a great opportunity to use my skills and experience to make a real impact. I'm a strong communicator and team player, and I'm confident that I can bring a lot of value to the team. I'm also excited about the company culture and the mission to [company mission].

Interviewer: Well, thank you so much for sharing that with me today. Do you have any questions for me?

Candidate: Actually, yes! Can you tell me more about the team I would be working with, and what the typical day-to-day responsibilities of this role would be?

Interviewer: Absolutely! The team is a really close-knit group, and we're all passionate about our work. As for the day-to-day responsibilities, you would be working closely with the [team/department] to [briefly describe the role]. You would also be responsible for [specific tasks or projects].

Candidate: That sounds great, thank you for sharing that with me!

This is just a sample, but the idea is to have a back-and-forth conversation where the interviewer is asking questions and the candidate is sharing their experiences and qualifications. The "tag" format is a way to keep the conversation flowing and make it feel more like a natural conversation.
